Perinatal Mental Health

Becoming a parent can be a beautiful and transformative experience. It can also be isolating and scary as hell. Issues related to Perinatal Mental Health are highly prevalent, and birth and postpartum traumas are more common than we think. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, I am a source of support for birth parents.

Eating disorders are painful, isolating mental health conditions. You do not have to be alone in this struggle, especially during this scary time of the pandemic. I have 10+ years of training and experience in the field of eating disorders, and I’m passionate about working with individuals seeking to have a more balanced and healing relationship with their body and food.

Eating Disorder Recovery

I have significant training and experience in working with trauma, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR has been proven to be an effective therapy for treating trauma and PTSD. So, whether it be birth or postpartum trauma, attachment trauma, childhood abuse, or the current collective trauma, EMDR is a way to find healing as well as to feel more present and safe in your body and life. One-on-One Yoga

Yoga is beneficial for both the mind and body, and research has shown that yoga can be an effective component in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma. I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher; specialized in trauma-informed yoga and perinatal yoga; and I utilize a hatha yoga approach in order to help you reconnect with your breath and your body. Individual Therapy

I’m a strong believer in the importance of having a safe space to be vulnerable and to have your voice be heard. I have a great deal of experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and unprocessed trauma. Therapy is a place where you can take steps towards your own healing and we can walk that journey together.
